License Ordinance
The Business License Office located at City Hall is responsible for issuing annual Business Licenses, yard sale permits, and taking payments for pet adoptions at the City's animal shelter.
Business License:
The City Council of the City of Andalusia adopted a license ordinance in January 1987. This license ordinance was updated in January 2008 due to a mandate from the State of Alabama.

Business License Application
Some businesses require a schedule in order to calculate the fee for their business license. These type licenses that are affected by this schedule are as follows:
- Contractors
- Retail Businesses
- Wholesale Companies
- Manufacturing and Processing Plants
- Automobile Dealers
- Implement
- Professional & Vocational Businesses
Yard Sales:
Yard sale permits may be obtained by calling the License Clerk's office at City Hall.
Animal Adoptions:
The Animal Shelter will allow for pets to be adopted. If you wish to adopt a pet, you must visit the animal shelter. The Attendee there will fill out a small form that must be taken to the License Clerk's office at City Hall. There you will pay the fee for the adoption. The License Clerk will give you a receipt of payment, which you will, in turn, take back to the Attendee at the Animal Shelter. You will then be able to take your pet home.
