The Mutt-Butt Wash fundraiser held Saturday by the Andalusia Animal Shelter raised approximately $1,000.
“It went really well,” said animal shelter employee Kayla Cleland. “We had some really cool new customers, as well as our long-time customers, and some who didn’t even bring dogs, just a donation.”
The Animal Shelter, in exchange for a donation, washed, cleaned and groomed about 35 dogs.
They also adopted four pit bulls, which Cleland said was amazing.
“We would like to start holding this event about four times a year,” said Cleland. “It was a big success.”
She thanked employees from the Andalusia Animal Clinic who came and helped with the event.
The animal shelter is located at 101 Coliseum Ave.
