Events under 'General'

The schedule for Christmas in Candyland 2024 has not been finalized, but will open on Dec. 6. Candyland is open on Friday nights, Sarturdays and Sundays during December, with additional dates when school is out. When finalized, the calendar will be posted to christmasincandyland.com.

This is event will be in the Dixon Center for the Performing Arts on the Andalusia campus of LBW Community College. There is no charge for admission.

ReAct Theatre and Arts will present one of the South's best storytellers, who'll be accompanied by his band. Tickets, which are $25, will go on sale Dec. 1, 2024, and will make great Christmas gifts.

The Covington Arts Council presents the Glenn Miller Orchestra in the Dixon Center for the Performing Arts on the Andalusia campus of LBW Community College. General Admission tickets are $30 at the door or in advance at Mr. Mattress/Harold's. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Questions - text 344-488-1770.

St. Mary's Episcopal Church hosts this 5K, followed by a red beans and rice lunch as a fundraiser for its Rice and Beans Ministry.

AIR Artists Inc. will host its second annual Runway Soirée on Saturday, April 5, 2025, starting at 6 p.m. The fashion show, which will feature a “garden party” theme, will take place at the historic Andalusia Railroad Depot on S. Cotton Street.  Tickets will go on sale Feb. 1, 2025, and are $125 per person. The evening will include both silent and live auctions, live music, wine and beer, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and dessert, and the fashion show. 

The Runway Soirée is sponsored by the Cotton Street Gallery, which celebrates Southern textile art and artists through art and culture exhibitions and textile-related classes and demonstrations.
